Tysons Corner, Va. (September 22, 2015) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Michael McIntosh office managing shareholder (OMS) of its Tysons Corner, Va., office. McIntosh succeeds Alison Davis, who has served as dual OMS to the Tysons Corner and Washington, D.C., offices and will continue her role as OMS in the nation's capital.
“We thank Alison for her contributions and look forward to Mike heading the office,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “Mike is a strong leader, and he will play a valuable role as we work to further raise Littler’s profile throughout Northern Virginia, the surrounding region, and the rest of the state.”
“I am excited to take the reins and build upon Alison’s efforts,” McIntosh said. “Years ago, I came to Littler because it presented me an unparalleled platform to service my clients—with its expansive global footprint, capability in every aspect of labor and employment law, and commitment to innovation. But what really sold me was the impressive collection of attorneys I joined in Littler’s Tysons Corner office. We have a strong team, with diverse expertise, and I look forward to further working with the attorneys in the office to cultivate new opportunities while continuing to provide exceptional labor and employment counsel to our existing clients.”
McIntosh’s practice at Littler focuses on complex wage and hour litigation. He regularly represents clients in collective, class, and hybrid actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws in Virginia and around the country, as well as helps employers to audit their wage and hour practices. McIntosh is also a frequent speaker and publisher on labor and employment law.
He is member of the Virginia, District of Columbia, and California Bars. McIntosh received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from Georgetown University.
