The stimulus legislation signed into law as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) by President Obama contains sweeping revisions to the group health plan continuation coverage provisions contained in the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA). The ARRA also impacts other areas of employment law. For an in-depth analysis of these changes, see Littler's ASAPs: Stimulus Package: An In-Depth Look at the New COBRA Subsidy in the ARRA by: Steven J. Friedman, Susan K. Hoffman, and J.
