Ben Handy focuses his practice on labor and employment matters.
Prior to joining Littler, Ben defended municipal agencies and employees in civil lawsuits as an assistant corporation counsel for the New York City Law Department. He was a member of a high-volume pretrial litigation unit where he regularly conducted and defended depositions, advised clients, drafted and argued motions, and negotiated cases to settlement. While with a global law firm, Ben represented various financial institutions in connection with collateralized loan obligations, drafted deal documents, and coordinated with deal parties to facilitate efficient transactions and closings.
During law school, Ben interned with the Hon. Steven I. Locke of the Eastern District of New York, and was an executive articles editor on the St John’s Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development.
